The address is sophia@theporchlightjournal.com, and that is the whole of it. No form to fill out, no box to sign up for, nothing that asks you for anything beyond what you feel like telling me.

I read everything that arrives. I do not always manage a reply, and when I do it usually takes a week or two, sometimes longer in a busy month. If you do not hear back, it is not because your note went in the trash. It is because I am one person and the porch only holds so many mornings.

What I love to hear: what you thought of an entry, what I got wrong, what you wish somebody had told you back when you first started doing the caring. Those letters are the best part of my week.

I do not publish letters and I do not pass along what people send me. If you would rather I did not keep your note at all, say so in it and I will delete it.
